“Weather was fabulous and the boat was fine with shade. The driver had no English, so didn’t point out any sights. He drove to 3 areas for a swim. Unfortunately, there was just a basic ladder unfolded off the back of the boat with no handrails making it very hard (for someone unable to jump into the water) to enter or exit the sea. I was one of 2 people unable to get in for a swim at all, as I wouldn’t have been able to pull myself up into the boat. Other younger people found it easier to do but would have preferred there to be up a ladder…”
Travel from Palermo to Monreale and Cefalù in an air-conditioned minivan, with about six hours for both stops. This is mainly shared transport with a driver, not a guided sightseeing tour. Admission to Monreale costs €10, while food and other entry fees are extra.
“Terrible service they didn’t turn up so I paid money for nothing. Five of us were waiting for them and later we found out that they changed the meeting, location, the transportation and time without telling the five of us. When asked for a refund, they wrote a rude text message and said no never.”

“Umberto, our driver and guide, spoke fluent English and went out of his way to ensure we had a good day. As we were the only couple, we modified our itinerary to visit Cefalu and Monreale Cathedral. The van was very comfortable and we felt safe with Umberto’s handling of the Sicilian traffic. This was an expensive trip but we benefited from Umberto’s local knowledge of restaurants and saw much more in a day than we could have achieved by ourselves. Cefalu and Monreale are truly beautiful locations and well worth visiting. Thank you Umberto for a lovely day.”
