The good e-bike tours go early in a Sicilian summer and the great ones go earlier. Below: the 12 to book first, what each includes and how they differ.
Ride a 29er MTB from Etna South along lava trails, forest tracks, and the Pista Altomontana. Guide Luca leads the private two-hour outing, with helmets, water, a windbreaker, and a short stop at Giovanni Gualberto Forestry House included. E-MTBs cost extra.

Start at Etna South, learn to handle a top-quality enduro e-bike, then pedal an off-road volcanic-sand trail toward 2,500 to 2,600 meters. Guide Rafaella explains Etna’s changing craters and geology before you descend past the 2001 crater. The tour lasts about three hours.

Meet at 9:30 am in Milo for a three-hour guided e-mountain-bike ride on Mount Etna. You’ll cross old lava fields, newer lava flows, and the Cerrita oak woods before reaching Rifugio Citelli, with bikes, helmets, water, and a qualified guide included.

Ride Etna’s 37-kilometer Altomontana trail on a full-suspension enduro e-bike with guide Raffaela or another local instructor. Expect lava flows, woods, Hornitos, a lava tube, shepherds’ shelters, and views from Monte Nunziata, with a van transfer back.

Join Massimo Baudo of Trapaninside for a three-hour small-group e-bike ride from central Trapani to the Saline Nature Reserve and Nubia Salt Museum. You’ll see windmills, protected birds, learn how salt is made, and taste salt at the end.

Explore Etna’s southern side by full-suspension e-bike on a roughly 10-kilometer, two-hour ride. The route is rated easy, but mountain-bike skills still help.
